I figured that I need to blog about the most anticipated event this year, the World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Amazingly, South Africa and African nation got the privilege to host the World Cup this year. I kinda wonder when will Malaysia be the first South East Asian country to host...hopefully if they are able to host, they will be a more formidable team and able to challenge Asian superhorses, South Korea and Japan. That is all I am asking....
This World Cup has been a really unpredictable with many team pulling off upsets, Spain lost to Slovenia, France being eliminated from the group stage, England (as usual) cannot gel their players into contenders again (Fabio, you better put in Joe Cole!!!) and Germany lost to Serbia.
As the quarter final is fastly approaching, the teams that impresses me is Argentina (Messi of course), Dutch, and maybe Brazil/Portugal. Back in SMK BB, I used to bet with my friends chicken rice or drinks but now everything has changed. I learned that betting on football only makes me poorer. I learnt my lesson and now, no more betting on football for me. However, I still have a knack of predicting World Cup champions. I predicted last year that Italy will win. This time, I think my number one choice will be Spain, Argentina and Holland. Dark horses will be England...England, just because. There is a tingly feeling that maybe Portugal will emerge victorous..haha!!
I guess this is why they call it football fever....You stay up till 4am and wake up at 12pm the next day...very productive indeed!!

hello sister, goodbye life
Yesterday, I watched this movie called Hello Sister, Goodbye Life on Hallmark channel. I don't know why I was hooked on this movie but I just thought that this could be a good movie to watch. Well, it was not that bad or good either. The synopsis of the story is a college student must take care of her 7-year-old half sister after the death of their parent. This show definitely reminded me of the time when my mum brought back Eeling. My mum always have a knack of doing things that sometimes would be totally outrageous, but somehow as a family, we just breathe in and accept the things that she does. Well, this is one of several things that she does. At that time, I was confused, annoyed and looming questions surrounded me. I did not even have an answer from her on her actions. This show reflects what I have gone through before and I could definitely relate it to my life. I always asked myself, How different would my life be without Eeling, without a younger sister? Then, I found the answer. The answer have always been there all along. The truth is, my life is different with Eeling around. I find it really cool to have a younger sister that follows me and looks up to me. Sometimes, I think that she looks up to me and I feel proud. She changed my life to be more responsible and stern. Sometimes, she might be annoying, and act all princess-y. After all, she is still my precious pink gem that sticks close to my heart, our hearts. Forever and after. The luckiest girl in the world!!!
