I know that this is bound to happen but I did everything that I can as a VP. I got the news that I will be stepping down temporary from my position. I am not complaining about stepping down, because if stepping down is better for the credit union and my reputation, honestly, I would prefer to step down. But, what I want to complain about is the way I was treated. I cannot stand it when people make decisions without being informed. It is like you are ultimately guilty of what you did. It is just rude and plain disturbing. The worst part, is that the decision is up to the Management Team and the BOD that is in charge. They did not even hear my part of the case, the decision was made and I had to step down. This is purely disrespectful for the individual, in this case me. I wished that they dealt with this issue in a better way. It just hurts because you did not do anything to deserve this utter disrespect. The stolen money did not occur during my shift, if it was anybody responsibility, it should be the person in charge, Supervisor. I am sure that in the private meeting you have discuss this issue before, and the decision did not just pop up of a sudden. If you are going to make this decision, at least have the decency to put me in the spot and plead my case. The worst part, is that the person who opened the bag could have gotten off and perhaps might have taken the money. In the end, I end up being the punching bag and accused.
I guess this is a good experience for me to learn in the future. I am still learning and this lesson have really impacted me a lot. One thing I know for sure is that I did not do anything wrong that would affect my integrity. Maybe the business world is that cruel, everybody fights for themselves and if you are on the chopping block, you might as well just kiss your career goodbye. Life goes on, and I know that I will bounce back from this incident.
My verdict: I plead not guilty, your Honor. I was wrongfully accused.

just another week
The final stretch is here. Two more weeks of school and then I think I will be flying back to New York and then to Malaysia. My parents are coming over for my sister graduation and I am really excited. I can't wait for them to come over and see this beautiful campus. This week, my MKT 415 professor praised my good paper. I was really surprised at her remarks. Well, it was a research paper and I thought that I am bad at research. Apparently, she likes it. Actually, what I did was just find online resources, copy and paste bits here and there, cite the source and there you have it, my "good" paper. Oh yeah, I have a big presentation on Monday with Cintas for this project. I really want to contribute something to the team but I feel that I am being left out. No really, this team is one heck of a group and we get along really well. Wish I did more effort into this project. Next Monday will be semifinals and if we make it to the finals, big guns from Cintas will be present to see the presentation. I really hope we do make it to the finals. Hopefully, my team will be selected to be in the final. If that is the case, I hope to play a bigger role in the presentation although I feel that I have limited power over this.Hopefully, everything goes well.
After working for three years at Alexander Dining Hall, I finally got promoted as student manager. The manager told me that it was an inanimous decision that I got to be a student manager. This means that I will have higher pay position, long working hours, and higher responsibility. I guess I have to live with it. We will see how this goes.

Look How Far I Come
Last week was pretty busy/hectic week for me because I have too many projects, paper and presentation all cramp up in one week. Sigh, I guess that is college. I had a Marketing presentation which took forever to be finish. I realized that having a group of 5 people is too big to collaborate and understand. We had to research about United Kingdom country study. And, I had the most challenging portion of the project, finding information on Logistics. I found out that I am pretty bad as research or maybe I did not put a lot of effort into it. But, I just could not find anything. So, whatever I just put in whatever that I could find that is relevant. For our presentation, we had to cramp our 100 pages of project into a 15 minute presentation. One of our group members had 20 pages of slides and to her...."everything relates to logistics". It took her so much of persuasion to ask her to reduce her slides. During our presentation, we were rated really well among our classmates. Thank goodness.
And then, on Friday I stayed up until 5am compiling and finishing up our paper. Some irresponsible guy did not complete his given assignment and we had to take up his slack. Very frustrating, frustrating indeed. This is latest time I ever stayed awake for a group project. Hopefully, for the effort that we put in, we can achieve a good grade. I slept at 530am and had to wake up at 730am to go for an earlier class. I had to change to an earlier class because my other Marketing class wanted to visit the distribution network of Cintas Corporation. It was really cool looking at how things go around in the network.
Lastly, on Saturday we celebrated Chris Yim and Eric Ng 21st birthday party. It was a surprise party for them but I guess they did not act surprised at all. At the party, there was jello shots (my favorite), SoCo, home-made Amaretto sour, and other variety of drinks. To sum it all up, it was good ending to week as I could take away all those tension during the week.
