Globalization is the term that every company is using today. Going global is every company dream so that they can expand into new markets and gain a larger market share. With the use of the Internet, we are practically connected to nearly every part of the world. People use Skype for video conferencing so that managers don't need to travel 100 miles and pay for flight expenses. And then, there is also your phone set. So many people nowadays have Blackberries, Iphone, PDA and etc. I wish I had one too. I am a maniac that I will check my email before I sleep although I already checked it 5 minutes before that. It's just that I don't want to miss anything that would be important. Imagine if I got a Blackberry or an Iphone, I would be obssessive with emails, and constantly checking them. Yes, I know what you are going to say to counter this....Well, it is more convenient having a portable computer in the size of your hand. You don't need to find for a PC and etc....the list goes on. My point being, I don't need to have a Iphone or a Blackberry, what I do need is a new phone. One that has all the updated features of a phone, MP3 player, camera phone, ability to connect to the web (highly desirable) and web browswer. I noticed that phones nowadays cost so much, and if I invest in one, I want to have a good quality phone which will last me maybe a long time. All I do with my current phone is send text and call. To be honest, that is lame. But on a brighter side, it still works minus the keys sometimes backfires on me. Overall, it still is a good phone.
Which leaves me to this question, obviously I won't pay the ridiculous high price fee and get tied to a service provider just because I want to look cool. That is too much to ask for. I would rather save checking my email if I ever find a computer or a laptop. That would be my preferred option. Should I invest in an Itouch although I already have a Ipod. Considering the disadvantages outweighs the benefits, I chose to not buy a ITouch. For now, I think I will stick to my old phone, which still serves me well, and my Ipod that I used to listen to music.
