Korean Friday night
I was anticipating Friday to come by fast because I will have 3 day off because Monday is a Labor Day but because Asian American Association will be having their potluck of Asian food. Due to some minor problems, I arrived at the potluck quite late and had nothing to eat except plain rice and teriyaki chicken. Feeling a bit dejected, I went back home and prayed that my roommate would bring back food. Fortunately, he brought back pizzas and cinnamon breadsticks. He headed out again to pick up some Korean exchange students. They came over and disrupted my plans of going to party at Christina's house and heading up to 45 Bar uptown. Nevertheless, I had a good time hanging out at my apartment, because we played drinking games. It's a Korean game called random game; you can choose any game you want to play (Game of Death, Number game, Baskin Robbins, and Stand-up Game) and the loser had to take a Mojito shot or a Lemonade shot. I feel that I am getting absorbed into Korean culture because my roommate is exposing me to new stuff. I even have Kimchi stored in my fridge and Korean instant noodles for lazy desperate times. But, I will stay a Malaysian at heart. Last night was fun, I prefer drinking at home, hanging out talking, rather than going out to parties, cheering and drinking. It defeats the purpose...The drawback from last night was that I could not understand their conversation because ignorant Koreans spoke in their mother tongue. Oh well...
