Tiningkling dance...

I think this year's Fusion is my most memorable event I have ever experienced here at Miami. Fusion is a cultural event that promotes diversity on campus. All countries choreograph dance that symbolizes their own country's identity. I decided to be part of Tiningkling dance choreographed by Huihui, Qiao Wen and Tim Lu. Tiningkling dance is a traditional dance by the Phillipines but we incorporated a hip-hop part to make it even more interesting. We used bamboo poles to dance. I think this was the hardest dance I ever danced at but I managed to pull it off. Everytime before practice, I always screwed up some moves that HuiHui was so mad at me. Finally, I mastered the dance one week before Fusion. Unexpectedly, I did so good during Fusion that everyone was actually surprised at me. To be frank, I was surprised at myself too. Guess, everything is possible if you just believe in yourself.
We spent 2 hours every Friday practicing for this dance and we had such a fun time together. This tiningkling dance crew bonded us together in ways that I could never have imagined. At first, we were just friends but as we practiced together, we became best friends.
Now, I am sad that Fusion is over. There will be no more dance practice and the wackiness of our Friday dance practice is gone. There are no obligations to come for practice. I am free but something inside of me does not feel right. I will always miss Fridays. I want to perform tiningkling again be a star again for this dance crew. T.G.I.F now stands for: Tiningkling group, it's Friday.....
