Ice Age world

After seeing Hurricane Gustav and Hurrican Ike hitting the coast of America on tv, I thought another Hurrican is going to hit Ohio too. There was a massive wind blowing towards our direction that I thought was the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. The wind was so strong that tree branches toppled over cars and it fell on the roads disrupting traffic. Also, it caused an outbreak of electricity in the campus. Everything went from bright to total darkness. That means that everywhere is dark and without electricity. I heard from the news that the state of Ohio is under emergency for 72 hours. That means that we will be without food, electric, Internet for 72 hours. There are not even street light or traffic lights. I feel like I am in the Ice Age world already. What an inconvenience this is! This is actually the first time I experienced this situation and this situation sucks real bad. At night, the only object that is shining is the full moon in conjunction with Mooncake Festival.
This situation tells us a lesson. That without Internet and electric, we are unable to live our daily lives. Our life are so dependable on electric and Internet that without these necessary items we are practically unproductive for the whole day. Thankfully, the campus got a back-up electricity generator that successfully generates power in case of emergency. This back-up generator has been on for the past 15 hours and rumors has been said that the back-up generator can be shut down within the hours. When that happens, we are going to face darkness once again and the darkness reality creeps in once again.
